A native Floridian, Dr. Ben Joseph graduated cum laude from Duke University and earned his medical degree at Florida International University, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. He completed five years of orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Stony Brook — Long Island’s busiest Level 1 trauma center — where he helped design a novel trauma protocol for geriatric hip fractures. He then completed subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Nicholas Institute for Sports Medicine (the nation’s first sports medicine fellowship).
